There is a lot of information circling around right now and it can be overwhelming to navigate. We’ve broken down (to the best of our ability) the financial assistance and programs the Government of Canada has announced in an effort to support us during this time. IMPORTANT UPDATES

May 19th, 2020 – Prime Minister announces expansion of CEBA for workers and small businesses

April 16, 2020 – Prime Minister announces additional support for small businesses

April 15, 2020 – Expanded eligibility for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit

APRIL 2, 2020 – Applications for the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit will open MONDAY APRIL 6th. Information on how to apply is now available on the Government of Canada website.

MARCH 29, 2020 – Carleton University Professor, Jennifer Robson, has created a plain language guide to help those trying to access government programs during the COVID-19 crisis. 

MARCH 25, 2020 – JUST ANNOUNCED – THE CANADA EMERGENCY RESPONSE BENEFIT – a combination of the previously announced Emergency Care + Emergency Support Benefits
